Meet Your Counselors
Jennifer Miller
(6th Grade Counselor)
Ms. Miller received her B.S. in Psychology in 2000 from Liberty University. She earned a M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling in 2005 from the University of West Georgia. She is currently pursuing an Ed.S. in School Counseling and Supervision from Valdosta State University. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor who worked in Jackson and Barrow Counties at the elementary level for 16 years. Ms. Miller has also worked as a "school-within-a-school" counselor at the middle school level in Alaska. Additionally, she has worked as a DFCS case worker, activity therapist, and community counselor. Ms. Miller believes that in partnership with other educators, families, and the community, school counselors facilitate the support system to ensure all students have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest level as productive members of society.
Ms. Miller is a graduate of the Stephens County School System and is happy to be living and working in her own hometown. She enjoys time with family, the lake, hiking, and her dogs.

Carimy Cobb
(7th Grade Counselor)
Mrs. Cobb is a native of Stephens County - attended Eastanollee Elementary, SCMS, and graduated from SCHS in 2004. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of Georgia in 2008 and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. Mrs. Cobb has 10 years of experience in education and loves serving the students and families in her community.
Mrs. Cobb has been married to her husband for 14 years and has 3 children - Cameron, Carstin, and Colyer. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, putting puzzles together, and the outdoors.

Keumele Keown
(8th Grade Counselor)
Mrs. Keown received her Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from Valdosta State University in 2003, her Masters in Counseling from Valdosta State in 2008 and her Education Specialist in Leadership from Valdosta State in 2013. Mrs. Keown has 8 years of experience in education, working as a teacher, counselor and administrator. Mrs. Keown has a love for all children, and desires to help each student find a pathway to success.
Mrs. Keown has been married to Michael Keown for nearly 20 years and they have 3 children--Carrie, a senior at SCHS, Andrew, a 9th grader at SCHS, and Jacob a 5 year old. Mrs. Keown loves spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Keown looks forward to making a difference in the lives of the students at SCFGA and SCMS!
